Just to be clear this was not a wedding but if you are into chillaxing in hot springs, slowing down for am Yoga, yummy vegan eats and dancing your heart out to Kelly Clarkson all in the name of good old fashioned L.O.V.E... then Kyle and Leah's Union would have done you proud. Such wonderful people and a beautiful setting to share with family and friends. I feel lucky to have been invited along to take the photos.
Kyle is the master of all things do it yourself. Every detail was taken care of with Kyle's on point sense of style. Guests arrived to handmade maps and were asked to check into the big community bunk upstairs and drop their groceries in the kitchen. For 2 days we played games, chilled in the tubs, read, did some yoga until the "wedding"- where Kyle and Leah paraded their guests a mile away from the hot springs to the shade of a big oak tree where we sat in circle and shared one of the most meaningful ceremonies I have ever witnessed.
Thanks Leah and Kyle! You guys are the best.
Outstanding in the Field
is a beautiful little thing I discovered while working with Adam Dulye on a cookbook for The Monks Kettle
. Adam is a partial owner at Monks, and now Abott's Cellar in San Francisco, he's also the guy behind the scenes pairing food and beer at Colorado's Great American Beer Festival. I have been sitting on posting pictures from this dinner for ages but I think I have to share because the food was awesome and the people and setting were so darn picture perfect.
Thanks to David Little and Little Farm
, for sharing his delish fresh food and property. I wish every day at work was this good!
